Procurement Consultant
Our client is one of the largest global online travel and booking agencies. For further expansion in Amsterdam, they’re currently looking for high potential individuals that are strong collaborators, willing to grow and learn.
The Procurement Consultant is responsible for buying activities with the objective to reduce the overall spend, minimising administrative efforts, increase supplier performance and ensure integrity and compliance in the process. This role works on regional or global contracts. The categories that the Procurement consultant will support are HR and Legal.
Key tasks and responsibilities

Work on multiple projects and tasks that are complex and have a high impact on the organisations business in the HR and Legal categories

Work on regional or global contracts

Scope covers at least one full category, which can include overseeing subcategories

Be responsible for negotiating the best pricing & terms for the products / services to be bought

Independently source required product and services for the client

Drive the process and select the best suitable suppliers Lead and monitor supplier performance management with the internal business partner

Support the Senior Manager Procurement in the strategic sourcing activities

Engage and coordinate with the respective parties to comply with data privacy, security and sustainability guidelines

Prepare the spend data analysis. Generate and analyse KPIs, internal reports and provide visibility and possibilities for cost reduction and team improvements

Ensure compliance and standards are adhered to

Act as a first point of contact for vendor and procurement escalations from business stakeholders and accounting operations

Lead commercial processes and is part of the business project team

Deal with suppliers on regional C-level independently

Be responsible for non-standard contracts for diverse sets of operating and commercial models. Can deviate from standards subject to Legal advice and Risk approval

Establish and maintain procurement best practices and shares with peers

Ensure that daily procurement operations are operating optimally and in a compliant manner

Function as a back fill for the Procurement Manager when needed
The ideal candidate

Has the ability to apply broad knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices

Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel advanced level) is a must

Tendering and contracting experience preferable in the area of services or experience in the P2P process

Our offer

A salary between €4.000,- and €6.000,- (full time) based on relevant experience
