Retail Manager

Job profile
The Retail Manager is part of the Dutch Sales team, reporting into the Head of Retail. The Retail Manager is responsible for retail operational excellence and in-store execution of premium service level, quality and professionalism to maximize sales and contribution in the daily operations. The Retail Manager has a clear understanding of the details of the business area including the relevant triggers to drive the values, KPIs and traffic, whilst remembering the human touch and personalized approach.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate individual store performance including making recommendations for improving poor performing stores
- Having the full insight, understanding & responsibility of P&Ls and being capable to influence sales targets and control costs to maximize profit
- Having full insight and understanding of own Monthly Business Report, analyzing costs and affecting net profits with the ability to make recommendations and act accordingly
- Supplying input to the budget and planning processes in terms of setting own region and store targets as well as cost budgets in cooperation with Store Managers and in line with company targets
- Ensuring the right tools and knowledge to your Store Managers for them to be able to deliver results.
- Motivating your Store Managers to optimize their skills, competencies and talents
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in Regional manager position
- Strategic mindset as well as a hands-on operational approach and can-do attitude
- Proven ability to influence sales, develop and manage own store region of responsibility based on general, business, financial and operational guidelines from the Headquarters
- Experienced in using digital medias and omni-channel solutions in a retail environment
- Experienced in Brand development
- Fluent in Dutch
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level
- Passion for Omnichannel retail
- Good understanding of financial aspects of the business that affect store profitability
- Good people management skills: recruiting, staff development, motivating and managing performance
- Experienced as a team member of an international management group
- Experienced being responsible for more than one market would be a strong advantage
- Preferably has working experience with a quality fashion brand
- Ability to travel extensively within The Netherlands
