Forecast Analyst - Temporary

Voor een periode van 3 tot 6 maanden zijn wij op zoek naar een Sales & Operations Lead voor een van onze klanten in Utrecht. Al meer dan 100 jaar is onze klant de groothandelaar van warme dranken in binnen- en buitenland. Als S&OP Manager werk je in het Supply Chain team binnen de business unit zakelijke markt. Het Supply Chain team bestaat uit Planning, Logistiek, Masterdata en Customer Service. In deze functie rapporteer je aan de Demand Planning Manager.

Aim of the position

In this position, you create a forecast for future sales volumes and plan demand volumes to optimize service levels for a specific sales region.

Tasks and respsonsibilities

• Create a demand forecast representing the prognosis of future shipments to customers based on historical trends and planned activities and events. The Forecast analyst applies continuous improvement techniques to improve Forecast accuracy & Forecast bias KPI measurements.
• Create the Mid and Long term forecast in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to deliver plans which maximize business performance. These match MSU's strategic objectives, providing a high customer service level and low cost.
• Track Forecast Accuracy W-2 and M-1 as well as the Forecast Bias M-1 and M-3.
• Loss Analyses are done on a weekly/monthly basis to identify where the big losses in the forecast accuracy are. Root Cause Analysis should follow once the biggest losses are identified. The last step is to implement preventive actions to eradicate the issue.
• Phase In Phase Out forecast is done with the alignment of Central Planning, IM, Sales and Marketing. The goal is to minimize packaging material scraping costs and, at the same time, deliver the goods to the customer on the Available To Order agreed date.
• Work on Customer Collaboration to get forecast accuracy KPIs to the next level. Some examples are getting the correct weekly phasing of the promotion volumes (sell-in) and confirming the promotional volumes at least 4 weeks in advance.

Knowledge en Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain Management)
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an analytical supply chain position;
• Good understanding of SAP R3, APO and Analysis for Excel functionalities;
• Good analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
