Logistics Coordinator (Dutch)

For an internationally renowned company located in the heart of Rotterdam, the largest port of Europe, I am currently looking for a (Senior) Logistics Coordinator to support the growing operations. With a strong global presence and a commitment to sustainable excellence, the company's department specializes in the import and export of Bulk Cargo. As a (Senior) Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the transportation, documentation, and overall logistics operations of all shipments. Your expertise in import/export procedures handling will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the end-to-end logistics operations for shipments, including vessel booking, cargo inspection, documentation, and customs clearance
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure efficient and timely execution of shipments
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including vessel schedules, cargo status, and relevant documentation
• Monitor and address any deviations or issues that may arise during the transportation process, proactively finding solutions to minimize disruptions
• Stay updated on the latest industry regulations, import/export procedures, and shipping trends related to Bulk Cargo
• Continuously improve processes and optimize logistics operations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Act as a point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation requirements
• Familiarity with the Rotterdam port and its operational processes is highly desirable
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in Dutch & English. Additional languages are a plus
• Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for tracking and managing shipments
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
• A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
