Demand Planner

You are responsible for

In this role you contribute to the company’s forecasting activities associated with one of the assigned markets through world-class benchmark performance and best cost, driving value through exceptional market service and seamless relationships to enable new growth opportunities.

• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
• Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
• Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
• Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
• Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Bachelor/Master degree with affinity for Supply Chain Management
• Preferably, 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with SAP APO is an advantage
• You are not afraid to make decisions. You are independent, hands-on and pro-active with excellent communication skills
• You are energetic, ambitious, flexible and a team player
• You are a process thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are fluent (verbally & in writing) in English
