Import/Export specialist

Our client provides flexible supply chain solutions for today’s adaptive trial landscape. Their dedicated global staff manage 111000 drug product and biological sample shipments every month at all temperature ranges in more than 220 countries.

In this role you will provide an enhanced level of customer services and operational support. As the import / export specialist you will deal with shipment specifics and other service related issues.

Responsibilities:

• To monitor all inbound and outbound shipments on daily basis to ensure that shipments are delivered within agreed time frames.
• To advise customers on daily basis of any services related issues (Customs detentions, eta flights/trucks).
• Working with customers on daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working relationship.
• Analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of possible service solutions.
• Advise customer latest booking times and documentation required.
• Booking shipment with use of clients booking system.
• Supporting other departments – Customer Relationship Management/Transport/Operations and Sales
• Supplying customers with service information,
• Potential customer information to be given to the Sales department.

Requirements:

• Someone that is stress resistance and can multi task in a high pace environment
• Several years’ experience in a customer service, order management with a focus on transport/logistics
• Experience with import/export and Incoterms
• Experience working with transportation carriers
• Pharmaceutical / medical experience would be highly beneficial
• Fluency in English and Dutch both written and spoken is mandatory for this position
