Distributie & Export Medewerker

For a client in Noordwijkerhout, we are looking for a Distribution & Export specialist with a hands-on mentality for the logistics department. In this role, you will be responsible for planning the outgoing goods via road/air/sea freight, including associated transport and customs documents to the Netherlands and abroad.

Our client is a leading wholesaler in luxury design furniture, lighting and home accessories. As one of the largest importers in Europe, they supply furniture to retailers, hotels, and restaurants. The organization is a respected name worldwide, from Amsterdam to New York, from Buenos Aires to Bangkok. The company is based in Noordwijkerhout, so you must possess a car.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Setting up the export planning via road/air/sea freight in collaboration with internal departments and the carriers.
• Drafting trade agreements and checking customs, export and accompanying documents, among others, through AGS and Stratech (KVK), taking into account laws and regulations.
• Assessing transport requests, sales orders, back orders and returns for correctness and completeness. In addition, supplementing missing data.
• Calculating costs, margin and requesting prices from domestic and foreign carriers.
• Processing of shipment administration, stock changes and incoming invoices from carriers.
• Maintaining contact with suppliers, shipping companies, forwarders and carriers, but also internal stakeholders.
• Pre-calculation of purchases and sales, and checking and drafting quotations.
• Growth and professionalization of the logistics department.

Requirements for this position

• MBO/HBO or similar levels of education related to logistics.
• Your Dutch and English is fluent in word and writing.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position, preferably in an international environment.
• You have experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a pre.
• You have a car, the office is difficult to reach by public transport.
• You admire working in a professional environment.
