Payroll specialist

For a market leader in the travel industry, I am looking for a Payroll Specialist. You would be working in the headquarters in Amsterdam. As a Payroll Specialist you will be managing the payroll for multiple entities. Monthly payroll processing and ensuring that the business complies with the specific country requirements would be part of the tasks that will be required of the Payroll Specialist. You will be a part of a dynamic, humble open minded international team, consisting of 20+ colleagues who manage payroll for our offices in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Asia and Oceania.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the maintenance and preparation of payrolls
• Responsible for Data validation and resolving discrepancies within deadlines
• Managing relationships with stakeholders and global payroll providers
• Coordinating payroll approvals and funding instructions with the Finance Team
• Preparing monthly payroll reconciliations, journal and accrual reports
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies and Sox requirements
• Supporting the Finance teams with month end close and reporting activities
• Supporting with internal and external audits
• Providing payroll feedback and date when required to support ongoing HR projects

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a Payroll/accounting environment
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders such as other HR functions, employees, and local payroll providers.
• Experience with HR technologies (Workday/SAP/Blackline )
• Strong communicational skills in English
• Availability to travel
• Versatility and a problem-solving mindset
