Junior Business Controller

The Junior Business Controller will also be responsible for the timely, efficient and accurate calculation and reporting of revenues, deferred revenues and backlog, including the related analysis thereof. This position interacts regularly with The Billing Agents, The Legal Department, Accounting Department, FP&A, Regional Finance, Customer Account Management and Sales.

Requirements:

• Reconciling and controlling deferred revenue and unbilled balance sheet positions
• Is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the backlog articulating the movements as compared to the opening balances at the beginning of each year
• Assisting with the preparation and analysis of accurate information as required by external and internal auditors related to billing and revenue recognition
• Maintaining strong financial control and reconciliation of related GL accounts for each entity
• Maintaining adequate system of accounting records and internal controls
• Acting as a functional consultant to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical development
• Assisting in workshops to help describe functional requirements
• Assisting with the design of test plans for end-to-end scenario testing and user acceptance testing
• Performing testing
• Data migration activities
• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of revenue through the review and processing of contracts and amendments
• Providing the set of standardized monthly deliverables to the Revenue Assurance Manager relating to revenue, deferred revenue and the backlog
• Assisting with the in-depth variance analyses of revenue and deferred revenue current periods vs. prior periods

• Understanding of the principles of Accounting
