Accounts Payable Hospitality

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll step into a dynamic and evolving role. Collaborating closely with Junior and Senior Accountants, Senior Management, General Managers, and Operational departments, you'll be the architect of informative and transparent financial reports, fostering critical thinking and enabling effective decision-making. Your role will evolve in tandem with their business's growth, providing abundant opportunities for personal development and on-the-job experience, all under the guidance of the Accounts Payable Manager and Finance Director – Group Accounting. Moreover, you'll play a pivotal role in the insourcing of various legal entities, ensuring a seamless transition into the Cycas insource accounting systems landscape.

Role & Responsibilities

• Process and administer vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate coding into the correct GL
• Maintain meticulous email administration for Accounts Payable, managing supplier queries, payments, and ad hoc inquiries
• Administer individual AP subledgers, including invoice/credit memo/payment allocations, aged items, and reconciliations
• Handle bank postings and conduct bank reconciliations
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Take ownership of travel expenses for assigned entities
• Prepare payment batches for timely uploading to banking platforms
• Assist with the A/P process for new legal entities
• Administer A/P General ledger accounts and ensure reconciliation with the A/P ledger
• Create and compile comprehensive reports
• Reconcile supplier statements to balances and provide comprehensive information in case of differences
• Contribute to Cycas's digital initiative for A/P
• Assist in preparing for audits and provide supporting schedules for Accounts Payable
• Collaborate and liaise with various other functions, including AR, and the bank

Key Skills and Requirements

• Knowledge of local GAAP, with familiarity in the USALI Framework as a bonus
• Expertise in payment processing, cash handling, and tracking
• A knack for budgeting and an understanding of forecasts
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
• An understanding of ERP systems
• Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Dutch, is highly valued
