Accounts Payable Accountant

Then you are the Accounts Payable Accountant I am looking for!

For an international company that is active in the FMCG I am looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant. This role is quite interesting since it covers more senior tasks within AP accounting and there are also possibilities to grow. You will work in a team with 6 other AP accountants and you will be responsible for the international market. The company is quite vibrant and fun, so the environment feels social and fun.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Follow company processes, controls and policies (sox compliance)
• Perform month end closes within the AP department
• Receive invoices, perform the necessary validation, invoice booking and execute transactions both timely and accurately (incl invoice on hold, invoice aging, pre payments reports)
• Perform AP Bank reconciliation
• Resolve issues, serve as resource in troubleshooting complex cases and insure that problems are responded in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors facilities and colleagues
• Ensure company policies, processes and procedures are clearly defined updated and documented
• Improve day to day processes to increase daily efficiency
• Contribute to multiple finance projects

Skills & education

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in Accounts Payable
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communicating skills
• Fluent in English and preferable French
• Extra language skills are preferable
• Able to work 36-40 hours a week

• Salary based on experience and education, from € 2.800,- to € 3.300,- a month gross
