Assistant Controller

Join our dynamic team in the transport industry as a Credit Controller! We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about finance and can bring their hands-on mentality to our financial administration team. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of records and reporting, and playing a key role in debt collection.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Monitor the processing of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in records
• Process bank statements and purchase invoices with a hands-on mentality
• Chase overdue debts, communicate with account managers and inform the management
• Handle incoming email and phone calls related to financial administration
• Prepare financial analyses and reports
• Continuously strive to improve financial processes
• Prepare tax returns
• Independently create and maintain work instructions

Skills and education

• A degree in finance or a related field
• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
