Description:
As a Jr. Financial Accountant, you'll be based at their corporate headquarters in Amsterdam, reporting to the European Finance Director and supporting the European Financial Manager. Your role will focus on accounting for our entities, P&L preparation, and monthly balance sheet reconciliation. You'll also be involved in global and regional projects, including ERP implementations, ICFR, and accounting process improvements.

Job Objectives and Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities for multiple areas/companies following US GAAP.
• Manage monthly accounting journals, ledger reconciliations, and financial transaction records.
• Ensure SOX compliance in executing financial processes.
• Prepare and reconcile accruals, prepayments, and loan schedules.
• Handle accounts payable, including vendor creation, PO 3-Way match analysis, and bank payments.
• Maintain monthly foreign exchange rates register and GL account revaluations.
• Track tangible and intangible fixed assets and record monthly depreciation/amortization.
• Ensure accurate VAT, CBS, and Intrastat reporting.
• Assist in external and internal audit preparations and inquiries.
• Actively contribute to cross-functional meetings aimed at improving or automating accounting and control processes.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics.
• 3-5 years of related international company experience, including familiarity with accounting systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform detailed work accurately in a dynamic environment.
• Self-starter with effective prioritization skills.
• Experience or interest in working in a diverse, international environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
