Financial Accountant (Grocery Retailer)

Are you looking for an exciting new career opportunity? For one of the biggest grocery retailers in the world I’m looking for a full-time Financial Accountant. Do you have at least 3 years of experience in both accounts received and accounts payable? Do you want to work in a fast-expanding international company? Then you are the Financial Accountant that I’m looking for!

The office where you’ll be working is located in Amsterdam. You’ll become part of a team of around 12 people which will be expanding over the next couple of months. The working environment is multicultural. The tasks as written below are divers, which means each day will be different.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Perform the day to day financial accounting and transaction processing
• Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations and closing procedures
• Review and analyse of bookkeeping ledgers
• Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Review inter-company payments and generate invoices
• Assist in preparing VAT and intrastate fillings
• Participate in finance projects
• Try to improve the financial procedures with your team

Skills and education

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience working with an ERP system (preferably SAP)
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• You’re a team player
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (oral and written)
• Knowledge of the French, Spanish or Italian language is a plus
