For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Junior Financial Controller. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

Skills and education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of financial principles and accounting standards
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Tasks and responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and invoice processing
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
• Support in financial analysis and provide insights to management for decision making
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
• Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments as needed
