GL Accountant

Currently I am recruiting for a GL Accountant job in Almere. In this role you will be resopnsible for creating journal entries and gathering supporting documentation, analysing variances on month to month basis, coordinating and be part of the mond end close process and creating financial statements. Thereby will you work closesly with the Shared Service Centre GL Manager to identify areas of improvement and assist in establishing new processes and procedures where needed. You will be part of a team of 15FTE, the team is diverse and speaking Dutch is not mandatory. In this international environment there is room for everyone. There is a good balance between hard work and fun between colleagues. Below you will find the extended tasks and responsibilities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for all month end activities and month end journal entries for assigned entitites maintainted by the SSC
• Maintains a month end checklist and accurately records monthly accruals and prepayments
• Assists in consolidation actuals in the corporate books
• Assists with the chart of accounts maintenance
• Assist in calculating allocation of group costs and generates appropriate journals and invoices to ensure allocaties to be correct cost centers take place
• Ensures consistency and completeness of data transfers between sub-ledgers and GL
• Reviews intercomany accounts, involving communication with other business locations worldwide
• Ensures that all GL accounts are reconciled in a timely manner
• Manages fixed assets master data
• Enhances extisting processes and helps his/her manager to develop continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and education:

• A completed degree in Finance
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work
• Pro active, independent and result-oriented
• Excellent command of the English language
• Experience with SAP
