Financial Accountant

The company is located in Hoofddorp (near Amsterdam) and is looking to expand their team with a junior/medior financial accountant due to rapid growth.

The company is one of the world's leading manufacturers of computer monitors and has enjoyed consistent growth in the highly competitive IT market.　 The company’s European operation is controlled and directed by the senior management team from its headquarters at Hoofddorp in the Netherlands and is supported by subsidiaries in France, Germany, Poland, and the UK plus representative offices in Taiwan and Russia.

We are looking for a financial accounting officer to be a part of a friendly and professional team. Our ideal candidate thrives in a medium-sized international work environment, is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to meet the business needs and has a clear motivation to develop their own career in the accounting/finance department. This is a position to get involved with various accounting tasks and work closely with the entire department. This position will be reporting to the CFO and work collaboratively with 5 staff in the accounting department.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial reporting
• Assist month-end and year-end close
• Liaise with outsourced accountancy firms in France, Germany, Poland, and the UK
• Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Allocate cash receipts to customer accounts
• Enter journal entries in Navision System
• Compile and prepare routine reports
• Liaise with banks and auditors
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned

About you:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or MBO+ preferred
• 3 + years of relevant, financial accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties
