General Ledger

An international cybersecurity organization is looking for a General Ledger, which has experience in be in control of a team for AP/AR. The IT company is located in Utrecht and has more than 25 years of experience in the field of information security and it’s therefore a well-known player worldwide. They support sales and services in more than 160 countries and is truly an international company. You will work in a team of 6 and you report to the financial director. Furthermore, there is an open culture where everyone is valued and respected. It’s an advanced job opportunity where you can grow in your role. You are responsible for all financial processes of the AP/AR departments, which consists of 2 people. (Team size is 6) In addition, you will also work on process optimization. In the workplace, English is used as the main language.

Tasks and responsibilities as the General Ledger:

• Calculation and booking of accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts, maintaining accurate and up to date reconciliations

• Maintenance, booking and upkeep of the fixed asset register

• Ownership of several balance sheet reconciliations

• Responsible for monthly and yearly Profit and Loss reviews highlighting unusual transactions

• Providing financial commentary and analysis on a quarterly basis

• Assisting in payroll and commission calculation

• Responsibility of the recording of VAT and local taxes accurately and on time and liaise with local accountants to ensure filing of local statutory account and local Corporation tax on time

• Intercompany postings and reconciliation

• Proactive query resolution – internally and externally

• Support the AP/AR Finance team wherever necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the process

Skills and training

• A completed education in financial direction

• At least 2 years of experience as a General Ledger employee

• Good knowledge of the and English language, speaking and writing

• 32-40 hours per week available, notice period is possible

• Being able to work independently and communicatively

• Accurate and problem-solving
