Robert Walters and Walters People achieve “Great Place to Work” status

Recruitment organisation Robert Walters and its subsidiary Walters People are featured in the list of "Best Workplaces 2017". This list has been compiled based on empirical research done by Great Place to Work Netherlands. Every year, the highest-scoring organisations are honoured as Best Workplaces. On Tuesday, the 2017 list was announced.

Great Place to Work surveys the levels of confidence, pride, and enjoyment within organisations. The list of Best Workplaces in the Netherlands is determined by employees' answers to a 58-statement questionnaire as well as an evaluation of workplace policy. Only organisations which achieve a high score on both parts of the research can hold the title ‘Best Workplace’ for a year.

Rob Vermaak, Managing Director for Benelux, comments: "We're very proud of this award, particularly because it's based on an independent and anonymous survey among our own employees. You do have to expose yourself a bit as an organisation, but in return, you get an honest portrayal of which things employees value and which less so. A few things very clearly rose to the surface: companionship, working hard, celebrating successes together, and being proud of your team. We'd really like to continue innovating, so feedback from our people is essential to knowing where we need to go. So that ten years from now we will still be perceived as one of the most beautiful organisations to work for."

At the moment, Robert Walters and Walters People employ 125 people in the Netherlands. Vermaak: "Just two years ago, we had only about 75 employees, so we are growing fast. It is precisely important to make sure that people feel at home quickly and that they also feel themselves heard. So we are actively involved with employee satisfaction and this award is a confirmation for the positive effect of our policy."
