Medior Financial Services Accountant - Capital Markets

Ready to Excel as a Medior Financial Services Accountant within our client’s Capital Markets Team in Amsterdam? Given their expansive growth and substantial market share, our client is seeking a Medior Financial Services Accountant to join their Capital Markets Team. They have risen to become one of the largest, global independent service providers, with a practice that is steadily expanding, incorporating new transaction types, assets, and services into their already extensive Capital Markets business.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly waterfall calculations.
• Establish new structures in the reporting system.
• Review VAT/CIT returns, financial statements.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, assist in transactions, and manage cash management requirements.
• Analyze financial and fiscal data for internal and external reporting.
• Act as the main point of contact for audit-related queries, both for Dutch Tax Authorities and the Dutch Central Bank, as well as for clients within the Capital Markets Portfolio.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with other Financial Services Accountants in your team and the broader NL office, contributing to the development of both yourself and the team within their growing organization.
• Liaise with their shared service centers in Mauritius and India, reviewing the deliverables they provide.
• Stay informed about developments within client structures and identify potential commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers in the CM team to fully grasp the background and rationale of (recent developments in) the structures being worked on.
• Contribute to and support internal projects aimed at enhancing service delivery, including reporting standards and quality control.
• Maintain a highly critical attitude towards transaction information and documents to meet compliance requirements as a licensed and regulated organization.

Key Requirements
• Proficiency in English (and/or Dutch) both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with Millogic, Viewpoint, and Worksite is preferred.
• Possess a confident, eager, and curious mindset, displaying an entrepreneurial, independent, and dedicated approach to helping clients succeed.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a corporate service provider.
• Expertise in the preparation of financial statements and drafting of financial administration.
• Proficiency in Dutch GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of specialized software such as Prommise by Hypoport would be beneficial.
• Completed BSc or MSc degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent, with specific knowledge of structured finance and alternative lending platforms.
